Compassion is compassion.

It means making the assumption that everyone is doing their best.

It means not judging others for their decisions, when you aren’t in their shoes.

It means understanding that we are all trying to find our own path in this world and sometimes that process is really, really messy.

It means realizing that you don’t need to (and can’t possibly) understand everything, not every single thing you believe is correct, and because of that, the only right choice is compassion.

It means having compassion for yourself too. Realizing that you aren’t perfect and that everything I wrote above applies to YOURSELF as well. Be easier on yourself and just work every single day to make the right choices.

I certainly can do a better job at all of this and I spend every day trying to do just that. Sometimes I fail, but that is OK.
